Adalynn Jane Jones was born on January 25, 2026, at 1:54 AM, weighing 2 pounds 15 ounces and measuring 15 inches long. She was tiny, but from the very first moment, she had a powerful presence. For six precious days, she filled the world with more love than many do in a lifetime. She surprised everyone with how long she was, especially since both her mom and dad aren’t very tall. From the start, she seemed determined to do things her own way. Adalynn had big hands and feet, long arms, and sandy blonde hair. She looked just like her daddy, some would even say she was his twin, but she had her mommy’s stubborn streak. Adalynn had her mom and dad wrapped around her little finger in a way no one ever imagined was possible. To them, she hung the moon. Born at just 28 weeks and 6 days, Adalynn was a fighter from the very beginning. She bravely faced every challenge placed in front of her in the NICU, surrounded by a medical team who cared deeply for her and parents who loved her beyond words. Even with wires and tubes, she showed how strong she was. She was small, but she was mighty. Every day, her mommy and daddy cherished the moments they were able to care for her. They did her hands-on care together, changing her diapers, taking her temperature, giving her oral care, and holding her close. She loved her milk swabs, savoring every tiny taste. Adalynn especially loved being cradled with a gentle hand resting on her head, it made her feel safe and calm. And while she was so sweet, she also had a little spark of personality, she didn’t like it when her daddy tickled her foot and would kick right back to let him know. Adalynn knew love. She knew her mommy’s voice. She knew her daddy’s touch. She was held, prayed over, and cherished every single moment of her life. On January 31, 2026, at 5:16 AM, Adalynn peacefully went to heaven. We find comfort knowing she is now free from pain, safe in God’s arms, being rocked to sleep by Jesus. Though her time on earth was brief, Adalynn’s life was full of meaning. She changed her parents forever. She showed what unconditional love looks like. And she will always be their daughter. Adalynn is preceded in death by Blake Ryan; Bob and Kathy Jones; Jane and Al Williams; Dennis McDowell; Jean and Dean White; Bob and Betty Semmel; April Miranda; O’neal and Nita Chestnut; Louie Holloway; Ted Williams; Randa Sims and baby boy Jones. Those left to cherish her sweet memories are her parents Colten Jones and Allyn Goodson; Lance and Tiffany Schultz; Cory and Rachel Jones; Tegan Jones; Morgan and Tanner Bozarth; Gatlin Goodson; Ronnie and Donna White; Larry and Deanna Ashpaugh; Mike and Sharon Latta; Steve and Linda Semmel; Kevin and Drenda Schultz; Lela McDowell, other family and a host of friends.
