Agnes Helen (Holub) Branstetter was born October 27, 1914 to Carrie (Hurt) and James Holub at the family home in Phroso, east and north of Chester, Oklahoma. She passed from this life August 25, 2009 at the age of 94.
Agnes was raised in the Chester area and attended school through the 8th grade at Orion School.
Agnes married Clark Wilson Branstetter December 27, 1938 at Fruitland, Idaho. This union was blessed with two sons, Larry Don and Ronald Dean. Over the years, the family lived many places including: Ontario, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Oklahoma City, and Guymon. In 1946 the family moved to Arnett, Oklahoma to dairy farm.
Agnes was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting in her home. Over the years, she took care of over 80 children. Agnes also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and fishing. In addition to the children she babysat, she took great enjoyment in her grandchildren.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, James and Carrie Holub; sisters, Tina and Anna; and brothers, Emmal, Louie, Jim and Vic. She is survived by her loving husband of over 70 years, Clark Branstetter of Arnett, Oklahoma; sons Larry Don Branstetter and wife Darlene of Arnett, Ronald (PeeWee) Branstetter and wife Karen of Arnett, brother Bud Holub of Enid, and sister-in-law Callie Johnston of Washington state; six grandchildren, Teresa Harrelson and husband Brad of Wichita Falls, Texas; Casey Branstetter of Dallas, Texas; LaDeana O'Neill and husband Ryan of Norman, Oklahoma; Craig Branstetter and wife Lisa of Watonga, Oklahoma; Cynnamon Schleff of Norman, Oklahoma; Kristy Brodersen and husband Bob of Norman, Oklahoma; 11 great-grandchildren: Tyrel, Tanya, and Braden Harrelson; Brittney, Sarah, and Damon O'Neill; Hunter and Skylar Branstetter; Jacob Schleff, Trey and Brooke Brodersen; other family and many dear friends.
