Alan Clyde Anthem, 61, passed from this life surrounded by the love of his family on August 20, 2026. He was born August 20, 1965, in Liberal, Kansas, to Clyde Wayne and Dixie Lee (Huber) Anthem. Alan spent his early years in Kismet, Kansas, where he attended school from kindergarten through eighth grade. He then moved with his family to Woodward, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school.
On March 1, 1985, Alan was united in marriage to the love of his life, Christi Ruth Marshall. Together, they established their home on a farm south of Woodward, where they built a life filled with love, hard work, family and countless memories. They were blessed with three children, Cody, Courtney and Trevor.
Alan worked in the oilfield and wind energy industries as a heavy equipment operator. He was also a truck driver and a welder, always willing to put his skills and strong work ethic to use. But of all the things he did in his life, his greatest joy came from being on the farm, farming and spending time with his family.
Alan enjoyed traveling with Christi, taking trips to casinos, fishing, tinkering with farm equipment and working on old Ford pickups. He had a knack for fixing things, a love for being outdoors, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. Above all, Alan cherished his wife, children and grandchildren, and the time they spent together.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Dixie Anthem; and his grandparents, Theodore and Verla Anthem and Lucille and Dana Stump.
His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Christi Anthem; his children, Cody Anthem and his wife, Katie, Courtney Potts and her husband, Lucas, and Trevor Anthem; and his beloved grandchildren, Kendall, Kegan, Nash, Kooper, Tatum, Kasen, Baker, Klyde, Haidyn and River.
He is also survived by his siblings, Debbie Thompson and her husband, Neal, Dorine Lanham and her husband, Dale, and Wayne Anthem; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
