Alan Lowell Arthaud, known as "Curly", was born January 11, 1938 in Mutual, Oklahoma to Millard and Velma (Maulsby) Arthaud.  Alan attended school in Mutual, OK where he graduated with the class of 1956.  After serving in the Army Reserves, Curly graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture Education.  Upon graduating, he hurried back to his hometown to serve as the Agricultural Education Teacher at Sharon-Mutual for 27 years.  Alan was united in marriage to Flora Mae Holloway on November 28, 1961.  Alan and Flora Mae became parents to Mary Angela Irvin and Clint Elton Arthaud.

Alan had a passion for teaching Agriculture, enjoying every moment spent with his students. Curly did not know a stranger. He was a member of the Mutual Christian church, where he was baptized at a young age. He enjoyed telling of God's love and was always encouraging others to serve the Lord. Curly was a willing servant, if something needed done at the Church or if the ladies needed help preparing for a family meal, he was the guy. Much of his time was spent going to rodeos and searching for the next antique to add to his extensive collection.

Curly was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Velma Arthaud, brothers, Norman Arthaud and wife Reba, Richard Arthaud and wife Ruth, sisters, Iris Carter and husband J.A., Carolyn Burgess and husband John. He is survived by his loving wife Flora Mae Arthaud of the home in Mutual, OK, brother, Leland Arthaud and wife Loretta of Keyes, OK, daughter, Angela Irvin and husband Donnie of Mutual, OK, son Clint Arthaud and Betty of Henryetta, OK, grandchildren Ryan Irvin and wife Karlea of Dacoma, OK, Kadie Pollard and husband Justin of Mutual, OK, super, super, great-grandchildren Oliver Irvin, Bennett Irvin and Lyla Pollard, other family and many, many, friends and students.
