IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice Ann
Walker
October 15, 2013 – December 31, 2023
Alice Ann Walker, a beloved 10-year-old resident of Hammon, OK, passed away on December 31, 2023, at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, surrounded by her loving family and her cherished cat Cuddles. In her final moments, she found comfort holding her uncle's hand.
Born on October 15, 2013, to proud parents Hank William and Margaret Betty (Holbert) Walker in Elk City, OK, Alice touched the lives of those around her in the various communities she called home, including Eric, Sayre, Snyder, Carter, and Hammon. She attended Pre-K in the Merritt School District and was in 4th grade in Hammon.
Alice had a heart of gold, always putting others first. She had a passion for volunteering and helping with different projects, exemplifying a selfless spirit that endeared her to those who knew her. Her love for animals was evident, and she dreamed of starting her own animal shelter with her cousin one day.
Among Alice's many joys in life were her love for Scooby Doo, cats, and the comforting cuddles they provided. She enjoyed puzzles, riding her bike, riding horses with her cousins, jumping on the trampoline, and the simple pleasures of baking cookies or playing in the mud. Her infectious happiness and outspoken nature made her a joy to be around.
Alice is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard Ray and Vennieca Ann Holbert, her paternal grandparents, Frank and Alice (Shane) Walker, and her step-grandpa, Thomas Cotten.
Left to cherish her memories are her grieving parents, Hank and Margaret Walker; her brother, Christopher Ray Walker; two sisters, Cheyenne Burke and Stacey Duarte; two uncles, Clifford Holbert and Richard Holbert; two aunts, Destiny Griffin and Christine Walker; step-grandma Berneice Cotton and her beloved feline companion, Cuddles. She is also remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a multitude of friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
Alice will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
