Obituary

Allen Lynn Shamburg was born September 25, 1960 to Lois and Francis Lynn Shamburg in Sacramento, California. He attended school in Sacramento until 1972, when he and his family moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. He attended school in Grand Junction until 1976.  It was love at first sight when he met his Suzy Q., six days later he married Susan Beth Crider in Las Vegas, Nevada August 30, 1983. Together on May 11, 1986, Allen and Susan were baptized and began their walk with the Lord in Palisade, Colorado to the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. To their union ten children were born. Allen was called by God to travel to many places to preach, teach and baptize men and women into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. There was no distance that he wouldn't go for Christ and those he loved. He was a man of many skills. He owned and operated Allen Co. Painting for over twenty years, along with Al's Route 66 Café. In owning these businesses, he was able to pass on skills and accountability to his family. He helped his youngest son's build a mowing company in which they could provide for themselves. He was a man of many trades with God given wisdom and knowledge in working with his hands. Allen enjoyed studying history, watching football, doing woodwork and most of all studying the word of the Lord. He was a man of the Lord and a loving father and grandfather. God and his family were the light of his life along with the passion he had for his wife. He was a humble man and spirit led ambassador for Christ. On September 15, 2019, Allen laid down his life for his first love while laboring in the spirit of God.
