Alma Darlene (Bowman) Ebeling, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2019, at Share Medical Center in Alva, Oklahoma. She was born August 5, 1933, at her parents', Albert S. and Freeda G. (Young) Bowman, farm northwest of Vici, in Woodward County, Oklahoma. She graduated from Vici High School in 1951 and attended Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma. She married Dale E. Johnston, on October 31, 1952, in Enid, Oklahoma. To this union four (4) children were born, Yolanda Elaine, Kathryn Denise, Rebecca Ann and Charlotte Jean. Darlene worked as a bookkeeper for many years, including her husband's businesses.
Darlene later married William O. "Bill" Ebeling. Darlene was a lifetime member of the Woodward Nazarene Church and instilled great morals in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took pride in her family's various activities and enjoyed playing with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren every chance she could. Darlene was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1973. She enjoyed reading and sewing all of her life, making most of her girls' clothing for years! She became an ardent genealogist from 1980 forward, having over 9,000 names entered in her genealogy program, Family Tree Marker.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; daughter Yolanda E. Knoles; a brother Paul Bowman; and two sisters, Avis Knox and Wanda Franklin. Survivors cherishing her memory include her three daughters, Kathryn D. Churchill and husband Bradley; Rebecca A. White and husband Bob; Charlotte J. Clary and husband Scott; brother Leon Bowman; eight (8) grandchildren; Joni D. Erikson and husband Cody at Stillwater, OK; Jennifer D. Winfrey and husband Weston of Pratt, KS; Jessica C. Kriegh and husband Michael of Alva, OK; Jacob C. Churchill of Alva, OK; Robert White and wife Angie of Freedom, OK; Michelle White of Woodward, OK; Josh Moulder and wife Megan of Enid, OK; Amber Moulder and companion Brad Brearton of Oklahoma City, OK; fourteen (14) great grandkids; Jaxon Erikson of Stillwater, OK; Walker, Wren, Wraylee and Weslyn Winfrey of Pratt, KS; Benjamin and Georgia Kriegh of Alva, OK; Dakota Stone, Ariana and Triston White of Freedom, OK; Jaidyn, Jakobi and Jaxton Moulder of Enid, OK; Jaxon Brearton of Oklahoma City, OK; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 19, at 3:00 p.m. at the Woodward Church of the Nazarene, with a graveside to follow at Vassar Cemetery.
