Andrew Cecil Young passed from this life October 2, 2009 at the Seiling Municipal Hospital in Seiling, Oklahoma.

Andrew was born May 26, 1931 in Putnam, Oklahoma to Cecil and Zeta (Foust) Young. He was raised on a farm northeast of Putnam. He graduated from Putnam High School in 1949.

Andrew was married October 9, 1948 to Jewel Dean Valentine at Taloga, Oklahoma. They were blessed with six children, four girls and two boys, Letha, Keith, Karen, Arla, Sharon and Steve. They were saved in the Roseland Assembly of God Church at the age of 20.

At the age of 21, Andrew was called to preach the gospel. He pastored many churches across Oklahoma. He pastored Red Fork Assembly of God for 22 years. He was ordained by The Oklahoma District of the Assembly of God in 1955.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Zeta and Cecil Young, and one daughter, Arla James. He is survived by his wife Jewel Young of the home, three daughters, Letha Mayberry and husband Jim of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Karen Sue Petree of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Sharon Stafford Ennis of Taloga, Oklahoma; two sons, Keith Young and wife Karen of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Steve Young and wife Charolette of Putnam, Oklahoma, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
