Archie L. Cantrell, 89 year old Sharon resident, died Friday, April 25, 2008 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008 at South Persimmon Baptist Church in Sharon with Rev. Todd White officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Vici. Shaw Funeral Home, Vici, is in charge of arrangements.

Archie L. Cantrell was born on January 25, 1919 in Woodward, OK. to William and Pearl Cantrell. Archie attended school in Woodward. He worked in Woodward and Wichita, Ks. for many years. Archie was united in marriage to Cleta Mae Whistler on October 6, 1975 and lived in Sharon. Archie enjoyed working with horses, camping, fishing, hunting and attending public auctions. He was very proud of his family and especially his grandchildren.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pearl Cantrell and a brother-in-law Darwin Wildman.

He is survived by his wife Cleta of Sharon; children: Elaine Green and husband Bill, Rhonda Cantrell and husband Herb Egbert, Phyllis Cantrell, Chuck Crites, Sue Lantelme, Al Lantelme and wife Jan, and Jerry Lantelme and wife Lue; sister-in-law Dorlene Wildman; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; other family and a host of friends.
