Arva Joyce (Bishop) Wight, daughter of Raymond and Daisy (Tuck) Bishop was born October 14, 1934, she passed from this life October 23, 2017, nine days after her 83rd birthday.
The majority of her life was spent in Arizona where she was born and raised. She attended grade school and high school in Phoenix and was united in marriage to James Lee Wight on June 23, 1956. Two sons, Michael and Brian blessed their home. In addition to her role of wife and mother, Arva worked in the electronics division of Motorola which was awarded the 'Man on the Moon' award following the moon landing in 1969.
In 1980 Arva was baptized and became a member of the Worldwide Church of God.
Following retirement in 1990, James and Arva moved to Western Ok. Both avid wood workers, together they built their home west of Vici, Ok. Arva enjoyed the fellowship at the Vici Sr. Citizens center and was the president of the Turner Ladies Club, a group she truly enjoyed.
Her parents, Raymond and Daisy, and her husband, James, preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Michael of Mesa, Az. and Brian and Paula of Eloy, Az., her brother, Darrel D. Bishop of Sunnyslope, Az. Three grandchildren, Brandon, Kristina and Mallory and four great grandsons, Alexander, Gabrial, Lucian, and Augusten all of Az. Other family members, numerous friends and her helpful neighbors.
