Barbara Arlene "Babs" Parry was born October 7, 1949 in Waynoka, Oklahoma. Babs was the fourth child of Glen and Virginia Lenhart. Her parents were both school teachers, and she attended various schools in Northwest Oklahoma. Babs graduated in 1967 from Vici High School.
On May 28, 1967 Babs was united in marriage to Harlow Parry. Together they began a new quest for moving. They moved to Turpin, Fargo, and then to Tyrone, Oklahoma. From Tyrone they moved to Jacksonville, Florida, then to Oceania, Virginia, then to Kingman, Kansas. From Kingman, Kansas they moved to Gage and finally back to Vici.
Babs was blessed to have three boys and to be mother to a fourth boy. Babs was an excellent cook and a proud mother. She was a dedicated grandmother who loved to tell everyone who would listen about her grandchildren's achievements. These achievements included everything from tumbling, little league baseball to cooking and gardening. Babs had a keen interest in plants and trees. Babs had an interest in crafts, and always enjoyed the latest crafts available. Her latest project was making stained glass, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Babs also served as an EMT on the Vici-Camargo Ambulance Service, where she later became a member of the board for this organization.
Babs Suffered from arthritis for many years and has now gone to a better place.
Babs was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Virginia Lenhart, and brother, Jerry Lenhart. She is survived by her husband, Harlow Parry of the home, sons, Matt and wife Cindy Parry of Vici, Oklahoma; Scott and wife Ranae Parry of Camargo, Oklahoma; Joe Parry of Norman, Oklahoma; Steven Ford of Three Palms, California; brother Don and wife Rhea Lenhart of Freedom, Oklahoma; sister Peggy and husband Bob Beigler of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, Emily and Madeline Parry of Vici, Oklahoma, and Olivia, Jillian, and Coriella Parry of Camargo, Oklahoma, and a host of family and many dear friends.
