Barbara L. "Bobbie" Dorr was born March 7, 1939. She was the third child of Kenneth R. and Eleanor Hebert Dorr at Pana, Illinois.
Bobbie grew up around Assumption, Illinois. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Assumption for two years then a small country school before returning to St. Mary's for the rest of her elementary years, after which she attended the Assumption High School.
Bobbie began her working years by assisting area residents with babysitting and miscellaneous household duties before moving to Greenville, Illinois. There she began working as a waitress which would set her on a path for many years to come.
In the early 60's Bobbie and sister Ruth moved to Laverne, Oklahoma, to be with their parents and little brother Glenn. While in Laverne the girls worked as waitresses before taking over the ownership of the Bowling Alley Cafe'. Both girls waited tables until Bobbie fired the cook one morning and her life as a cook started. In 1967 the Dorr family moved to Arnett, Oklahoma where Bobbie started working for Lynn Woods at the Circle C Cafe'. She worked there for several years and made a lot of friends.
After leaving the Cafe' Bobbie worked in Woodward at Tregos Western Wear Factory and the Fruit of the Loom Underwear factory. She then started working as a live-in companion for elderly people. She worked in Arnett, Vici, Woodward, Shattuck and Lipscomb, Texas at some time or other and for different lengths of time. She again met a lot of people and made a lot of other friends.
Preceding Bobbie in death was her Father Kenneth Dorr, brother, Kenneth Dorr, Jr., sister, Donna Dorr, brother-in-law Michael Greenan, nephew Roger Anderson, niece Pam Allred, and grand niece Dallas Allred.
She is survived by her mother Eleanor Hebert Dorr of the home; sisters Ruth Ann Anding of Arnett, Oklahoma, Janet Greenan of Huntington, Utah; brother Glenn Dorr of Fargo, Oklahoma; niece Michelle Anderson; nephews Michael Greenan and Jimmie Greenan all of Huntington, Utah, nephew Grant Anding of Lawton, Oklahoma; several aunts, uncles and cousins in Illinois. She also leaves behind many friends including Jane Gross, Winona Derrick and the gang at the Circle G Café in Arnett.
