Barbara Jean Graham, 76 year old resident of the Vici Nursing Home and formerly of Woodward, Oklahoma passed from this life Monday, January 28, 2013 in Woodward Regional Hospital Woodward, Oklahoma.
Barbara was born December 8, 1936 in Wichita, Kansas to Max and Myrtle (Hammond) Barney. Barbara lived in Wichita, Kansas until 1945 when the family moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1948 Myrtle died leaving Max, Barbara and Maxine very saddened and alone. The family moved to Vici, Oklahoma in 1952 and Barbara was blessed with a very special step-mother Nina Fern Saxton and step-brother Lyte Saxton. Barbara was baptized at the age of 9 and attended the First Christian Church.
Barbara attended Vici Public Schools graduating with the class of 1954. On June 20th, 1954 Barbara was united in marriage to Gerald Cunningham in Vici, Oklahoma. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Brenda and Cheryl. On April 18, 1975 Barbara and Fred Graham were married. Barbara welcomed three step-children, Cheri, Freddie and Wesley. The couple lived in Woodward, Oklahoma.
Barbara worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Woodward Hospital and several Doctors in Woodward. Barbara enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing bingo and family gatherings.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Max and Myrtle Barney, Nina Barney, husband Fred Graham, daughter Cheryl Roberts and sister Maxine Barney. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Neagle and husband Steve of Woodward, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Trent Neagle and wife Emilee, Cory Neagle, Lindsey McDonald and Brittany Roberts; 4 great-grandchildren, Bailee Neagle, Zane Neagle, Zayne Herron and Eden Neagle; 3 step-children, Freddie Graham and wife Karla, Cheri Wemlinger and Wesley Graham; step-brother, Lyle Saxton of Virginia; 7 step-grandchildren; 1 niece, 2 nephews, other family and a host of friends.
