Barbara Marguarite Hutchison was born to Claude and Grace (Murphy) Bailey on February 10, 1912 in Fargo, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on September 17, 2008 in Woodward, Oklahoma.

Barbara attended Fargo Elementary and High School through her sophomore year. On July 8, 1928 Barbara was united in marriage to Floyd Taft Hutchison in Fargo, Oklahoma. They established their residence in Fargo where Barbara resided until she moved to Crystal Wood Village of Woodward, in April of 2000, due to failing health. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Nova, Nadine, Eileen, Donna, and Irvin Dale. Barbara's priorities in life were her husband and children, but sewing was her favorite pastime. Barbara sewed dresses for her granddaughters, always keeping them modest! Barbara was a member of and attended the Fargo Methodist Church.

Preceding Barbara in death were her husband Floyd Hutchison, her son Dale Hutchison, her parents Claude and Grace Bailey, her sisters Rena Miller and Cena Tune, her brother Curtis Bailey, son-in-law Ernie Johnston, and granddaughter Terri Johnston Trenton.

Surviving family members include daughters Nova Wroten and husband Robert of Fargo, Oklahoma, Nadine Mitchell and husband Elmer of Moore, Oklahoma, Eileen Johnston and husband Melvin of Fargo, Oklahoma, and Donna Pope and husband Charles of Blooming Glen, Pennsylvania, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren with three more expected and a host of other family, neighbors, and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, September 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fargo United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Barbara Hutchison Memorial Fund, Fargo Methodist Church. Shaw Funeral Home of Vici is in charge of arrangements.
