Barbara Ester (McLain) Cardiff, 82 years old passed away June 2, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 5, 1942, on Easter to Preston and Hazel (Starbuck) McLain in Woodward, OK. Barbara was the 8th child of 9. She went to Woodward Public Schools and graduated from Woodward High School. She lived in Woodward for 75 years until she moved to Vici.

Barbara married Larry Allen Cardiff on January 30, 1965. They were blessed with two daughters Lezli Renee and Lori Ester. Barbara wasn't afraid of work and worked in a lot of different industries. She worked at the Record Store, insurance adjuster for Oklahoma Farmers Union, Stock Exchange Bank, NW Electric CO, Propane Direct and back at Stock Exchange Bank where she retired.

Barbara was baptized in the General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn by Brother Benny Watkins Sr. She loved Elvis and was his #1 fan and was even able to go to Graceland and see his place. Barbara loved her dogs, especially her pugs.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Larry Allen Cardiff, parents Hazel and Preston McLain, sisters Marjorie Cammerer, Willa Mote, Fern Qualls and Jaunita McLain, brothers Leland and Walter McLain.

She is survived by her two loving daughters Lezli Renee Cardiff James and husband Brian, and Lori Ester Cardiff Gonser, sister Ruth McLain and brother Keith McLain. Grandchildren Larissa Ranae Gonser Puente and husband Johnny, Jacob Ray Gonser, Steven Brian James, Morgan Gonser, and Tyler Bryan. She also had one great-grandchild Lilly Puente.

Barbara had a love for her friends Pattie Bailey, Ruth Briggs, Carolyn Thornton, Theresa and Mary. Barbara loved her family, brothers, sisters, daughters and grandkids and everyone she ever met, she was loved, and loved everyone dearly.
