IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Becky Lynn
Freeman
May 29, 1955 – April 9, 2025
Becky Lynn (Cline) Freeman was born on May 29, 1955, in Thomas, Oklahoma, and passed from this life on April 9, 2025, in Seiling, Oklahoma, at the age of 69.
The youngest of three daughters born to Wilbur "Earl" Cline and Doretta Dorothy (Johnson) Cline, Becky was raised in the Taloga community and graduated from Taloga High School with the Class of 1973. Though she always called Taloga home, her heart was forever drawn to Red River, New Mexico. On July 21, 1998, she was united in marriage to Carl Dewayne Freeman in Red River, a place that brought her peace and joy.
Becky was the mother of three sons—Nate, Mark, and James—and a proud grandmother who cherished every moment with her grandchildren. A woman of deep faith and community spirit, Becky was an active member of Taloga First Baptist Church, where she played the piano and served with a joyful heart.
Over the years, Becky wore many hats with grace and determination. She owned and operated Taloga Grocery for several years, served 26 years as a Dewey County emergency dispatcher, and worked as a cook at the Taloga and Putnam Senior Citizens Centers. Her talents in the kitchen were well known, especially making her dad's famous homemade beef jerky. She found joy in the simple things—gardening, cooking, and sharing laughter with those she loved.
Becky was preceded in death by her father, Earl Cline. She is survived by her husband, Carl Freeman; her mother, Doretta Cline; her sons and their families: Mark Bailey and Lisa, James Bailey and wife Destiny, and Nate Higgins and wife Jennifer; her treasured grandchildren: Braxton, Oakliegh, and Kayden Bailey, and Natalie Higgins; her sisters, Dorothy Taylor and Barbara Patrick and husband Dave; three aunts; one niece and one nephew; three great-nephews; and a host of other family members and lifelong friends.
A celebration of Becky's life will be held on May 31, 2025, at the park in Seiling, Oklahoma. The time will be announced at a later date.
