Services will be Saturday September 19, 2015 at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church, Shattuck, Oklahoma with burial following at the Shattuck Memorial Cemetery, Shattuck, Oklahoma.

Family will be at Funeral on Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm to greet people.

Ben Russell Sprague was born on October 3, 1964 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Jackson Ben and Noma Jane. He began kindergarten in Shattuck schools and he continued there until he graduated in 1982. After school and on the weekends he would work with his dad at Sprague Oil, delivering parts, fuel, and oil. In August of 1982 he began college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University to earn his bachelor's degree in accounting.
In 1985, Ben married Lori Dew in Oklahoma City, OK. To this union, one daughter, Nikita Nikole was born. In 1990, Ben married Deana Cook, and her daughter Heather Nicole, in Lipscomb, TX. To their union was born Brittney Dawn and Morgan Marie. He continued to work at Sprague Oil until 1999 when he and Deana purchased Tom's Quick Stop. He worked tirelessly until 2011 when he was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer and fought a hard four and a half year battle. He took his last breath in Shattuck on September 14th, on the 12th year anniversary of his father's passing, surrounded by his loved ones.
Ben was an amazing, loving, fun, supportive father, grandfather and friend. He loved spending time with his family, attending birthday parties, ball games, recitals, and choir programs. He enjoyed NASCAR, playing cards, riding motorcycles, attending the Sturgis bike rally, and traveling. He loved tinkering. He had a surplus of tools and could usually fix anything that needed fixing.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents; father Jackson Sprague; older sister Rita d'Ombrain, aunts Linda Sprague and Madeline Taylor; uncles Karol Sprague, Russell, Max, Albert, and Bruce Cline; and brothers-in-law Charles Cook and Marvin Brown.
He is survived by Deana Cook, longtime companion; his mother Noma Cooley and husband Bill; younger brother Clinton Sprague and wife Kendra; four daughters, Heather Lulf and husband Kevin, Nikita Mayden and husband Michael, Brittney Sprague, and Morgan Chase and husband Jared; two granddaughters Macy Marie Lulf and Mackinzie Chare' Holloway; niece Bobbie Abbott and her children Jacob and Samantha; nephews Jaren, Garrett, and Griffin Sprague; uncle Dale Sprague; aunts Alta Mae Getz and husband Buddy, Idell Green, Frances Blades, Lugy Clark, Lois Cline, Marilyn Cline; sisters-in-law Barbara Fleming and husband Jim, Patty Brown, Joyce Engler and husband Stuart; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved and were very special to him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.
