Bertha Ann (Roy) Ladd, daughter of Adam Lewis and Tressa (Tesner) Roy was born June 7, 1917 in Lenora, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on November 9, 2007 at the age of 90,

Bertha grew up in the Riley area and attended Riley School through the eighth grade.

On January 18, 1945 Bertha was united in marriage to Merl Ladd at Woodward, Oklahoma. Their marriage was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Patricia. They made their home on a farm east of Vici.

Bertha enjoyed taking care of her little family and was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending her garden, and much of the time, worked along side Merl tending cattle. She worked outside the home for a period of time at the Vici Nursing Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Merl; daughter, Patricia; parents, Adam and Tressa Roy; brothers, Martin, Eddie and Lewis Roy; sister, Barbara Pickering; and twin granddaughters, Stacie and Lacie Wildman.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are brother; Ted Roy of Crescent, OK; son-in-law, Ed Wildman of Arnett, OK; granddaughters, Melissa Wildman of Arnett, OK and Lorrie Herber of Shattuck, OK; great-granddaughters, Keltsie and Tyrell Herber of Shattuck, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, other family members and many good friends.
