Betty Darlene (Ross) Griffith was born February 5, 1935, she was one of ten children born to Robert and Hazel (Sober) Ross. She was born at Shattuck, OK. and passed from this life April 9, 2018 at Woodward, OK., she was 83 years of age at the time of her passing.
Betty grew up on the family farm and attended school at Fargo and Arnett, graduating with the class of 1953. That same year she was united in marriage to Wilbur Griffith at Perryton, Tx. Wilbur and Betty established a home on the farm in the Harmon community and they were blessed with two daughters, Carolyn Sue and Lynda Kathleen.
Besides being a devoted wife and mother, Betty was an LPN and worked at Newman Memorial Hospital at Shattuck, OK. and at the Woodward Hospital through the years.
Her special interests included scrap booking and watching the birds that she enjoyed feeding.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Ross, her husband, Wilbur Griffith, twin grandsons, Bradley and Christopher Allen and eight of her siblings, brothers, Olin, Perry, Paul and Emery Ross and sisters Beulah Lynes, Iola Murlin, Edna Cordell and Irene McClung.
Cherishing her memory are her daughters, Carolyn Griffith of Woodward, OK. and Lynda Allen and her husband Donald of Harmon, OK. One grandchild, Andy Allen of Enid, OK. and her brother, Silas Ross of Douglas, KS., other family and numerous friends.
