Betty Ann Davis was born in Fargo, Oklahoma on November 3rd, 1926 to Clinton L. and Martha (Hohweiler) Davis. Betty had 2 baby sisters and a baby brother that died at birth.
When Betty was 3, the family moved to the farm north of Fargo. The farm is still part of the family today, and Jim and his family reside there now.
Betty attended Fargo Public Schools. She played basketball and was a member of the concert band where she played the coronet. She also sang with the traveling girls quartet and girls trio for 4 years. Her Junior year she was awarded the title "All Around Girl." She graduated in 1947.
Betty was united in marriage to Cecil Lennington in May of 1948. To this union one son was born, James C. (Jim) Lennington. Cecil and Betty were married for 14 years until his unexpected death in 1962.
Betty married Edgar Longhofer in 1965. They had one son, Gregory Lee Longhofer. Edgar and Betty were 18 days short of celebrating their Golden Anniversary. Edgar passed away on May 20, 2015.
Edgar and Betty owned and operated the Longhofer Tag Agency for 24 years. Edgar and Betty loved camping and enjoyed traveling to New Mexico and sharing this time with their family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Martha Davis, 3 infant siblings, granddaughter, Mandy Harrington, and late husband's Cecil Lennington and Edgar Longhofer.
She is survived by her son Jim Lennington and wife JoElla of Fargo; son, Greg Longhofer of Shattuck. Grandchildren, Gina Huenergardt and husband Greg of Shattuck; Christi Vaughan of Mooreland; Lacey Laverty of Fargo; Kyle Longhofer and wife Bailey of Altus; Taylor Johnson and husband Justin of Shattuck. Greatgrandchildren, Derek Harrington; McKayla Charmasson; Hunter Vaughan; Teagan Charmasson; Kyrah Vaughan; Tate Charmasson; Chandler Lennington; McKinlee Huenergardt; Reese Laverty; Ayden Longhofer. Three step-daughters, Eddie, Sherri, and Darci and famlies, and many cousins and friends.
