Obituary

The funeral service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page , it will go live approximately 15 minutes prior to the service time.

Beverly Kay (Bowers) Morris, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away from this earthly life on September 22, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on December 11, 1951, in Mooreland, Oklahoma, to Ira Kenneth Bowers and Emma Elizabeth (Cathey) Bowers.

Beverly graduated from Vici High School in 1970, having spent all 12 years of her education there. On August 7, 1970, she married the love of her life, Wiley Glen Morris. While they never had children of their own, Beverly and Wiley opened their hearts to many nieces, nephews, and the children of their close friends, always ready to spoil and shower them with love.

After their marriage, Beverly and Wiley first lived in Shattuck for six months before settling in Woodward, where they lived until 1981. They then returned to the family farm where Beverly grew up, and there, she worked alongside Wiley in the vault business from 1982 to 1985. In 1995, they purchased the Windmill Feed and Seed, where Beverly continued to support her husband in the store with dedication and care.

Beverly was a woman of deep faith and was baptized on November 17, 1974, at the General Assembly Church of The Firstborn by Brother Jud Poulson. She was passionate about her community, helping to revive the Vici Vision and volunteering for many years on the Dewey County Election Board.

Her love for reading was well-known, with family often teasing her for losing herself in books to the point of not speaking to anyone. Beverly was also an avid crocheter and quilter, a craft she learned from her mother-in-law shortly after marrying Wiley. Her handmade quilts and crocheted name doilies were treasured gifts. She enjoyed gardening, canning the produce she grew, and always loved to visit with anyone who had time to sit and visit.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Ira Kenneth and Emma Elizabeth Bowers; her brother, Kenny and his wife Betty; her sister, Karen; her nephew, Wesley; her mother and father-in-law Arthur and Letha Morris; her brothers-in-law, Garvin and Bobby; and her sisters-in-law, Merrell and Delphene.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wiley Morris, of the home; her brother, Donnie Bowers, and wife Rita; her brother-in-law, Jay; sisters-in-law, Virgie, and Velta and her husband Ronnie; many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Beverly will be dearly missed by all who knew her—her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering love for her family and friends will leave a lasting legacy. Her memory will forever be cherished by those she touched, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to call her a part of their lives.

The funeral service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page , this will start approximately at 1:45 PM CST, Friday, September 26.
