Bexlei Elizabeth Good

Some lives are measured in years, others are measured by the love they gave, lives they touched and the legacy they leave behind. Though Bexlei Elizabeth Good was with us for only twenty years, she filled every one of those years with purpose, laughter, unwavering faith, and a spirit that was uniquely her own.

Bexlei was born on November 1, 2005, at 11:38 p.m. in Woodward, Oklahoma to Tim and Lindsey Good. Bexlei was a miracle baby and Lindsey often said that from the moment she first held her daughter, she knew she was "the best thing that ever happened to her."

As a little girl, Bexlei had an uncanny way with animals, whether horses, dogs, or livestock, they trusted her gentle hands and calm spirit. She possessed a quiet way of understanding when an animal was hurt or afraid, and they always seemed to know they were safe with her.

Her Papa, Leon Woods, had one goal for his granddaughter, he wanted her to become a woman who never had to depend on anyone else to get things done. He often joked that he was going to "teach her how to be a man”. Bexlei learned to drive tractors, combines, swathers, and could back a trailer in one shot. Most days you would find her wearing a baseball cap, her long blonde braid hanging down her back, dirt smudged across her face, beneath her fingernails, and covering her glasses, shirt, jeans and boots. She could repair almost anything—from farm equipment to projects around the house—with the lone exception of electrical work, which she wisely left alone.

For the first eight years of her life, Bexlei enjoyed the perks of being the only child in the house, but all that changed when she was promoted to the role of big sister with the arrival of Everlei. While Bexlei loved her little sister with all her heart, Everlei made it her personal mission to lovingly terrorize her big sister every chance she got. Beneath every prank and every playful moment was a love that neither of them ever questioned.

On August 31, 2014, Bexlei made the most important decision of her life when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized alongside her mom and dad at Gage Beach. Her relationship with Christ became the foundation of everything she did. She faithfully attended Gage First Baptist Church and later Ascent Church. She was so excited that she was able to participate in Super Summer Christian Leadership, attended Falls Creek, and joyfully served in children's ministry. Whenever life didn't go according to plan, Bexlei never doubted that God already had won.

She attended Gage Elementary School before continuing her education at Fargo-Gage Schools, where she excelled academically and graduated as Salutatorian of the Class of 2024. She was active in FFA, Beta Club, Softball, National Honor Society and many other activities. After graduation, Bexlei attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where she pursued degrees in Meat Science and Agribusiness.

While competing for OPSU Meat Judging Team, she discovered that meat judging was more than a competition—it was an opportunity to challenge herself, learn, teach others, and represent something she deeply believed in. She took pride in every detail, from understanding quality and precision to knowing how to cut the perfect steak. Her dedication quickly set her apart. At the 2025 Southwestern Meat Judging Contest in Fort Worth, Texas, she swept the competition, earning High Individual Overall, High Individual Total Beef, High Individual Pork Judging, and High Individual Total Placings. Throughout her collegiate career, she was consistently recognized as one of the region's top meat judges, earning honors at competitions across Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and beyond. Her pursuit of excellence earned her numerous honors, including the Rachel Hamilton Award in 2025 and recognition on the Oklahoma Panhandle State University President's Honor Roll in the spring of 2026. She had even been accepted into the meat science graduate program at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

What began as an interest soon became a calling. She started as a student worker in the OPSU Meat Lab during the 2024–2025 school year, and through her tireless work ethic, leadership, and genuine love for the industry, she was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2026. She was known for cracking jokes, making ridiculous noises and gestures with different cuts of meat, keeping everyone around her laughing.

In 2024, while checking Snapchat, Bexlei received a message from a young man from Fowler, Kansas, named Jurney Bird. Without telling her parents, she drove to Fowler for their very first date. That memorable date consisted of checking pivots and watching Jurney play Farm Simulator for nearly three hours. Somehow, it was perfect. Together they shared a love for vintage vinyl records of every genre, thrifting for vintage western jewelry, caring for their little family of backyard toads, and sitting alongside Jurney while he farmed.

In May of 2026, Bexlei's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with leukemia. She met the diagnosis with the same determination she had faced every challenge in life—with courage, faith, and an unwavering belief that God would walk beside her every step of the way. During her treatment at OU Medical Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City, she endured numerous blood and platelet transfusions along with fourteen rounds of aggressive chemotherapy. At twenty years old, she was one of the oldest patients on the pediatric floor. However, it didn't take long for Bexlei to become popular with the doctors, nurses, staff, and children. Even while fighting for her own life, she was determined to make everyone else's day brighter. When she discovered one of her favorite nurses had an obsession with pickles, she immediately had her mom order a basket of "emotional support pickles." That was Bexlei—always looking for a reason to laugh and always finding a way to make someone else smile.

Just weeks into her treatment, on May 23, 2026, Bexlei endured the heartbreaking loss of her beloved father, Tim. The grief was immeasurable, yet even through unimaginable heartbreak, Bexlei continued trusting the Lord she had faithfully followed since childhood.

Those who knew Bexlei never questioned her determination. She fully intended to beat cancer with the same grit she had shown throughout her life. But God's plans were different from ours. On August 1, 2026, Bexlei entered the presence of the Savior she loved so dearly.

Bexlei was welcomed into Heaven by her father Tim Good who no doubt was waiting there with his goofy grin, ready to crack a joke and give her the hug she was longing for. Reunited at last, they walked through Heaven’s Gates together. Also there to welcome her was her great grandfather Lynn Woods, great grandmother Roma Terry, grandfather George Good, aunt Jane Wilson Woods, uncle Doug Taylor and many other family members who had gone before her.

She is survived by her devoted mother Lindsey Good whose love and care was unwavering and whose heart will forever cherish every memory they shared. She also leaves behind three siblings, Everlei Good of Gage, OK, Hannah Good and her three children; Noah, Baker and Timberly and their father Timothy Farner of Chicksha, OK; her brother Shawn Good, his wife Angel and their daughter Laynee of Tuttle, OK.

She leaves behind her beloved boyfriend Jurney Bird whose love and companionship meant the world to her. Her memory will forever be treasured by her Grandfather Leon Woods and his lifelong companion Kelly Witchey of Gage, OK as well her Grandmother Debbie Woods of Fort Supply and Patricia Mackey of Woodward, OK.

She is lovingly remembered by her Uncle Devon Woods (Doo Doo), her Aunt Lexi Morton, and their children Taightem and Taylon Woods of Gage, OK.; Her Aunt Felecia Davis and husband Aaron (Corndog) of Sterling, KS; Her Uncle Jon and wife Ceirra and their children Braylan, Kason and Ember of Bridge Creek, OK; and her cherished surrogate grandmother Deanna Simms of Little River, KS.

She leaves behind her faithful dog Marlei, her beloved horse Roany who brought her endless joy.

Although words cannot measure the depth of this loss, her life will shine through the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered by her impeccable sense of humor, the love she freely gave and the strength and grace in which she lived. Her legacy will endure through her family and her friends. She will forever be a lasting source of love, comfort and hope for those who loved her.

Though her twenty years were far too few, Bexlei Elizabeth Good lived a life that pointed others to Christ, served those around her, loved without reservation, and reminded us all that strength can be gentle, faith can be steadfast, and joy can be found even in life's hardest moments.

Her story does not end here, we know this is not goodbye—it is simply, "Until we meet again."
