Graveside services will be Monday, July 20, at 10:30am at Higgins Cemetery, Higgins, TX
Visitation will be Sunday 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Shattuck
Blanche Laurene VomHoff McNamee, 95 years old, was born the oldest child of Paul A. VomHoff and Emma Crouch VomHoff in Chandler, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight B. McNamee, and by her sistr Ester VomHoff Hetzel of Amarillo and by her brother Harold Andrew VomHoff who lived in the Bishop community of Ellis County, Oklahoma.
In 1938 she and Dwight B. McNamee eloped, and they were married until his death in 1996 at the age of 101. She is survived by their daughter Anita McNamee Childress of Houston, Texas, plus one nephew, two nieces, and several cousins.
Blanche lived in Higgins, Texas, all of her adult life until her death on July 16, 2015. Her interests included her garden and her church.
