Robert Eugene Briggs of Taloga, Oklahoma, passed away July 29, 2014 at the age of 64. He was born May 4, 1950 in Clinton, Oklahoma, and grew up on his family's farm in the Aledo community; Bob is a graduate of Leedey High School, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Sooner Trade School. He studied air conditioning and worked for four years in Woodward, Oklahoma. Bob began farming in 1988 when he moved to Taloga, where his first crop of wheat is regarded as his best. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He rarely missed an event within his large family, unless of course, it interfered with his pitch game on Thursdays and Saturdays. On those days, he could be found at the senior center playing cards.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, George James Briggs and Vera Lucille Rinker, and his brother Donald Wilson Briggs.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Jerry Joe Briggs of Okemah, Oklahoma, George Edward Briggs and Ruth Ann of Woodward, Oklahoma, Leland Francis Briggs and Freeda of Ponca City, Oklahoma, his sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth Anita Wade and Gary of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his aunt Rosa Petree of Taloga, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews.
