Bonnie Jeanne Kenney was born on a farm southeast of Leedey on February 1, 1926, to Wayne and Daisy Kenney. She went to be with our Lord on January 21, 2011 at the age of 84.

Bonnie attended school at Eureka, Moorewood, and graduated from Leedey Public School. After graduation, she worked about two years at the First National Bank of Leedey.

She married Robert "Bob" Walker on December 8, 1945. They were married for sixty years and were blessed with two daughters, Barbara Lynn and Donna Jeanne.

Bob and Bonnie were long-time, very active members of the Rhea Baptist Church. Bonnie had a beautiful alto voice. She and Bob sang many duets together praising God. Barbara often accompanied them playing the piano and singing.

Bonnie enjoyed quilting, reading, working in her garden, gospel music, Ombudsman work at the Leedey Nursing Home, and helping Bob on their ranch.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Daisy Kenney; husband, Bob; infant daughter, Donna Jeanne; and daughter, Barbara Lynn Griffitts.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Cyndy Snider of Tyler, Texas; son-in-law, Keith Griffits of Plano, Texas; sisters, Leona Woodman of Cherokee, Oklahoma and Dollie Wilson of Leedey; sisters-in-law, Loretta Walker of Clinton, Vinita Walker and Virginia "Ginger" Parr, both of Oklahoma City, and a host of family and friends.

Bonnie will best be remembered for her smile that lit up the room!
