Bonnie Fern (Randolph) Parry was born June 8, 1940 east of Vici, Oklahoma to Ernie and Theo (Moss) Randolph. She was the first grandchild of Ray Moss, who fainted when she was born. Bonnie was raised near Vici, which is where she attended both elementary and high school, graduating with the class of 1958. She married the love of her life, Don Parry, at the age of 17 on February 1, 1958. They were happily married for over 58 years. Don & Bonnie lived in the Vici area until May 31, 1964, when they moved to the farm that she called home. They lovingly adopted two children into their home, Teri and Jay, who always knew that Mom loved them well and would do anything she could for them. They couldn't have asked for a better mother.
Bonnie attended Woodward Beauty College, where she received her Cosmetology instructor's license in the Fall of 1964. She later became half owner of the Beauty College, and worked at numerous salons over the years, finishing her career at Bonnie's Townhouse when she retired in 2010. She loved doing hair and trying new products and techniques. She loved (most) of her clients and would do everything she could to make them happy. She also worked along-side Don on the farm harvesting wheat and raising both cattle and hogs. She always joked that she was never going to marry a farmer, but did anyway.
In September, 1977 the family moved to the brick home they built themselves. Bonnie planted roses, flowers, and over 15 fruit trees near the home. She enjoyed harvesting the fruit and making and freezing homemade pies as well as many types of jams and jellies. She was renowned for her chocolate mayonnaise cake. In addition to being a wonderful cook, Bonnie also was an accomplished seamstress and took in custom sewing for many years. She attended and supported many school activities through the years and travelled many miles to watch her kids and grandkids sing, show hogs, or play ball. She was always their strongest supporter and biggest fan. She was a wonderful grandmother, and was very proud of her grandkids.
Bonnie attended the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. She was baptized August 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Theo Randolph; in-laws, Nigel and Lois Parry; sister & lifelong best friend, Betty Ferguson; brother-in-laws, Tom Parry and Sonny Bateman; sister, Brenda; and sister-in-law, Babs Parry. She is survived by her loving husband Don, daughter, Teri and son-in-law, Shawn Allen; son, Jay; and grandkids, Dylan Allen and Morgan and husband Paul Gonzales. Also; brother, Eldon & wife Sharon Randolph; brother-in laws: Jerry & wife Marvale Parry, Harlow Parry, Lonnie & wife Linda Parry; and sister-in-law Bev Bateman in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
