Bradford Edwin Norbury III was born February 28, 1947, in Springfield, Missouri to Maxie Edwin and Hazel Irene (Schell) Norbury. He grew up in Springfield, Missouri, but also lived in Wichita, Kansas where he worked at Beech Aircraft. He returned to the Springfield area where he worked for various places including Springfield Zoo as a zookeeper and the Town of Strafford, Missouri as the Public Works Director.
In 1976, Brad met Regina Ann Gouty and they married on June 16, 1978. To this union Bradford Edwin Norbury IV and Elizabeth Ann Norbury were born. In 1981, Brad, Regina and Edwin Norbury moved to Arnett, Oklahoma for Brad to work in the oilfield. Two years later, daughter Elizabeth was born.
Brad was licensed in water and wastewater treatment and cross connections. The Town of Arnett employed him for 25 years as Public Works Supervisor and in that capacity, he wore many hats. After retirement, he was elected to the Arnett Town Board. He was a retired member of the Arnett Fire Department and as an EMR with the Ellis County EMS for 29 years. He also served on the Northwest Oklahoma Disposal Authority Board, the Arnett Rodeo Committee and was a member of the St. Alban Masonic Lodge #192.
Brad loved animals and especially spending time with his cattle, chickens and honeybees.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Dee Norbury. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Regina, son Edwin, daughter Elizabeth. Also four grandkids: Ravin Jade Ludlum, Bradford Edwin Norbury V, Jessie Ann Hemme and James Allen Smith. His sister Betty Lewis, other relatives and friends.
He enjoyed his life to the fullest, his family being the source of love, pride and joy.
