Carol Martin Fields, 93 year old Taloga resident, passed from this life on January 25, 2017 at Seiling, OK. He was born September 18, 1923 to Earl and May (Ferguson) Fields in Taloga. He attended school in Taloga and later attended an electrician program in Woodward. On May 14, 1942 he married the love of his life Jeanette Alice (Bradfield) Fields at her parent's home in Hougton, TX, and they enjoyed 72 years of marriage until her passing in 2015. Two children were born to this marriage, Larry and Pamela. Carol and Jeanette made their home in Taloga, where Carol worked as a mechanic and later owned the hardware store. They moved to Clinton in 1958 when he started Fields Hardware and Marine. The couple returned to Taloga in 1972 to the family farm. Carol was a member of the Seiling First Baptist Church where Jeanette was the organist.
Carol was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and May Fields, and his wife Jeanette Fields.
He is survived by his son, Larry Fields and wife Esther of Taloga, OK; daughter Pamela Mericle and husband Tony of McLoud, OK; grandchildren Brian, Tony Lynn, and Kami; and great-granddaughter, Ava.
