Carolyn Poage, age 75, went to be with our Lord on May 21, 2021. As she passed from this life she was surrounded by her family.

Carolyn Joyce (Boyle) Poage was born August 8, 1945 to William and Susan (Loomis) Boyle. Carolyn was the youngest of four children. She grew up on the family farm west of Woodward. She attended Tangier Schools and then later graduated from Woodward Public Schools. She was briefly married to Gerald Wilson. They had one daughter, Susan Carol Wilson Craighead.

On August 2, 1964, Carolyn was united in marriage to Harold L. Poage. They made their home in Woodward. They had 2 sons, Michael Leon and Randy Lynn, and one daughter Summer Ann. Together they raised their family in Woodward. They were self-employed for many years. Carolyn worked in the home, raising their family. She was a great mother.

In 1989, the family moved to Yukon, Oklahoma and continued working in the oil and gas industry. They were married 42 years before their divorce in 2006.

Carolyn loved crafts, cooking, gardening, and children's ministry. Carolyn was an excellent cook- she was most remembered for her noodles, strawberry pretzel salad, bierox, and carrot cake. She had a mild addiction to A&W Rootbeer and loved Thunder Basketball. But most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them. She loved attending ballgames and school functions of her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was taking care of and holding her babies.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Susan Craighead of Mustang, OK; son Michael Poage and wife Crystal of Tuttle, OK, son Randy Poage and wife Christy of Woodward, OK; and daughter Summer Poage of Yukon, OK; 10 grandchildren, Kimber Cooper of Edmond, OK, Kamber Carpenter of Moore, OK, Meagen Garza and husband Ramsey of Shamrock, TX, Brad Poage and wife Kara of Wheeler, TX, Matt Poage and Cassie of Woodward, OK, Jessica Cox and husband Tony of Oklahoma City, OK, Tanner Poage of Alva, OK, Conner Poage of Union City, OK, Caitlyn Poage and fiancé Travis Huston of Azle, TX, Eli Poage of Woodward, OK; 11 great grandchildren and 2 brothers, Billy Boyle and wife Rita, Elwyn Boyle and wife Sue, all of Woodward; and other family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Beulah Goodwin and brother-in-law Don Goodwin and grandson, Ryan Craighead.
