Cecil Myron Drake, retired Auditor of various government agencies died Tuesday, February 19, 2008. He was 70 years of age. He was born March 10, 1937, at Harmon, Oklahoma, the son of the late Leslie Allen and Vera Leone (Simmons) Drake.

As a child Cecil lived on the family farm in Harmon, Oklahoma. He attended grade school at Harmon and graduated from Arnett High School in Arnett, Oklahoma. He then attended the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma graduating with a Business Administration degree.

Cecil married Dolores Crow and was divorced a short time later. Cecil then married the love of his life, Laurene Adell Harper. This union was blessed with three daughters, Lisa, Sherrie and Laurie Jean. The family suffered a huge loss when Laurene passed away in 1996. Cecil married Nancy Haney, she passed away in 2006. In July of 2007 Cecil married Pat Crisp, who filled his last months with fun and contentment. They made their home in Locust Grove, Oklahoma.

Cecil enjoyed many interests including showing Tennessee Walking horses with his family, cattle ranching and playing cards. His biggest achievement in life was his contribution of time and effort to helping others.

Those preceding Cecil in death were his parents, Leslie and Vera Leone "Trixie" Drake, wives Laurene Drake and Nancy Drake, infant daughter Laurie Jean, brothers, Verlin "Shorty" Drake and Lyndell Drake. Survivors include his wife of the home, Pat; daughters, Lisa Culpepper and husband Jeff of El Reno, Oklahoma and Sherrie Rosberg and husband Richard of Westminster, Colorado; two brothers, Delmar Drake of Florence, Kentucky and Darwin Drake of Woodward, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Cory Culpepper, Justin Culpepper, and Drake Rosberg; several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
