Charlotte Marie
(Clifft) Feil
August 15, 1943 – June 13, 2024
Charlotte Marie (Clifft) Feil, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend completed her earthly journey on June 13, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 29 days. Her journey began on August 15, 1943 near Harmon, OK. at the home of her parents Willie Arthur (Bill) Clifft and Francis Louella (Dalrymple) Clifft. Charlotte was the sixth of seven children to bless the Clifft home. Her early years were spent in the Harmon community on the family farm where she developed a strong work ethic, milking cows before going to school built character. It also created sibling rivalry as her brother would kick the milk stool out from under her and she in turn would throw the stool at him. Charlotte attended elementary and high school at Arnett Public Schools where she was active in gymnastics, especially the trampoline. She graduated with the class of 1962. She waited tables at the Vici Restaurant during her high school years and following graduation she moved to Clinton, OK. to attend Beauty College where she obtained her Cosmetology license. While living in Clinton she met Billy Charles "Bill" Feil and they were united in marriage on December 12, 1964 at the farm house home of her parents near Harmon. Bill and Charlotte established their first home in an apartment in Woodward, OK. Their home was blessed with three children, Lynn Ray born in 1968, Denise Kay born in 1971 and a stepson Chuck born in 1961. Construction of a new family home was begun in 1975 and was completed in 1976. She attended and was a member of the Woodward Nazarene Church. Charlotte owned and operated her own beauty shop, Cut N Curl in Woodward for 46 years. She was a very straightforward person and didn't beat around the bush, you knew where you stood with her and she was never one to judge. Her only fear was a bicycle, she was never able to ride one! She loved her family, was a great cook and taught each of her kids how to make noodles. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, reading, crossword and word search puzzles, doing crochet work and caring for their black Angus cattle. Bill and Charlotte still have the first car they bought together. She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Francis Clifft, her siblings, Billy Clifft, Darrell Clifft, Roland Clifft, Gloridene Hunter, Clydene Hunter Kopf, Wilma Chappell and other loved ones.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband of over 59 years, Bill Feil, her son Lynn Feil, her daughter Denise Bowen and husband Art and her stepson Chuck Auldridge and wife Susan.
