IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Chester Lynn
Cooley
February 20, 1957 – December 13, 2021
Chester Lynn Cooley was born February 20, 1957 to Muriel Carpenter and Chet "CL" Cooley, and passed away at the age of 64 years on December 13, 2021. Chester grew up in the country where he loved going fishing and riding his motorcycle.
He attended Fort Supply Schools where he was active in FFA, played basketball, and he was the pitcher for the high school baseball team. He graduated in 1975.
He worked in the farming and oil field.
In 1984, Chester and Brenda (Begley) Waugh became a family, along with Brenda's 2-year-old son, Junior. Chester was a great step-dad, but to him, he was just Dad. He took Junior everywhere with him.
Chester worked for Bob Hamm moving Moormans Feed dealer for about 3 years.
In October of 1986, Chester and Brenda welcomed a daughter, Kaneishia Michelle. Then in March of 1986, they welcomed a son, Landon Chet (the name-sake of Chester's dad).
In the early 90s, Chester went to work for D&D Motors as a mechanic and repo driver. When Chester would go on repos, Landon was always ready to go. They had many adventures in the wrecker.
During his years at D&D, both his boys got to work with him, with both being able to work on their first cars with their Dad.
Chester worked at D&D until a stroke changed his life forever. Even though he would never walk again, he never stopped fighting. He was a fighter till the very end.
He had a love for life. He loved Brenda, his children, and his grandchildren. He loved telling everyone, "Crosslie is my anniversary gift, but they won't let me keep her."
Chester is survived by his wife of 36 years, Brenda of the home; children Landon Cooley and wife Lola of Woodward, Oklahoma, Kaneishia Berends and husband Dustin of Buffalo, Oklahoma, and James Waugh of Lake City, Colorado; grandchildren Nevach and Roper Berends, and Crislin and Crosslie Cooley; and his step-brother, J.C. Cooley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chet and Muriel Cooley; his grandparents; his step-sister, Rita Seaman; special friend and brother, Cleo Ball; and many other relatives and friends.
