Ivon Clarence Case, Jr. (93) passed away December 23, 2013 at Shattuck Nursing Center in Shattuck, OK. Clarence was born on March 13, 1920 in Lipscomb County, TX, and he was the son of Martha and Ivon C. Case. Clarence attended Arnett Church of Christ in Arnett, OK until his health prevented his continued attendance.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. Clarence married Mina Laubhan in November of 1946. He was a wonderful husband to Mina and devoted father to her three children, Linden, Carol and Gene. Mina preceded him in death in July of 1980. He later married Elma Lue Word in May of 1981. He was a wonderful husband to Elma Lue and father to her four children, Ronnie, Arba, Lee Nell Littau and Vera Hogg.
Clarence devoted his life to farming, providing a home and being loyal and honorable to his wives and his children. He loved his family and friends and loved to visit with anyone.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Ivon and Martha Case, his first wife Mina Case, sister, Marie Schneider and two stepsons, Linden Laubhan and Ronnie Word. He is survived by his wife of the home, five stepchildren, Carol Laubhan Cole, Eugene Laubhan, Arba Word, Lee Nell Word Littau and Vera Word Hogg; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; in-laws, Charles Cole, Kenda Laubhan, Faye Word, Merlin Littau, Jim Hogg, Wilma Laubhan and Ann Word and other family and a host of friends.
