Ponca City, OK. resident Clarice Ellen (Shockey) Davis, daughter of John W, Shockey and Lela (Boyer) Powell Shockey was born May 5, 1945 in Moorewood, OK. She passed from this life at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 6 days on January 11, 2021 in Wichita, KS. Clarice grew up in the Moorewood community, beginning her elementary education at Hammon, OK. And graduating in 1963 from Leedey High School, Leedey, OK. She was baptized and attended the First Baptist Church in Leedey during her school years.

She was united in marriage to Harvey L. Davis in 1964. Their union was blessed with four children, three sons, Donnie, Danny and John and one daughter Deana. Throughout their years of marriage, Harvey and Clarice made their home in Texas, primarily in the Borger area. Clarice served as the food service director for the Borger Independent School District for more than 20 years.

Clarice was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered for her love of the Christmas Season and the certainty that in every room of the house a Christmas tree would be displayed.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Lela Shockey, four brothers Doug, Don, Carl and Bob Shockey, half-brother, Loyd Powell Jr. and half-sister, Leona Crossman.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, Donnie Davis and Heather Fox of Richardson, TX., Danny and Emily Davis of Ponca City, OK., Scott and Deana McBroom of Fitch, TX., John and Veronica Davis of Borger, TX., and adopted children Bob and Shevon Watson of Borger, TX. Ten grand children, Stephen, Mitchel, Jacob, Robin and Tiffany Davis, Chase and Elizebeth Dickerson, Shelby Davis Easley, Terry Don Webster and Skyler Watson. Seven great grandchildren. Her brother Johnny Shockey and wife Shirley of Leedey, OK., numerous nieces and nephews, other relative and friends.
