Clayton Thomas Barton, age 54, passed away on June 28, 2024, as a result of a roadside accident.  Clayton was born on October 31, 1969, to Charley W. Barton and Margie K. Barton.  Clayton graduated from Arnett High School and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Clayton did a number of things for a living over the years, including working in the oil field, ranching, running a tire business, and running a trucking company.  He was a very hard worker, constantly staying busy and on the go.  He always seemed to be working on some piece of machinery or tinkering with something.

Clayton was a funny and outgoing person, with a big smile and a quick wit.  He was a great storyteller.  You could not have had a better friend than Clayton.  He was always willing to offer a helping hand, and he had the gift of being able to see the good in any situation.  He could hunt and fish with the best of them, and he greatly enjoyed taking his boat out on Lake Foss.  He deeply loved his family, and he was particularly smitten by his granddaughter, Jaycee.   Clayton will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Clayton was preceded in death by his parents.  Clayton is survived by son, Heath Barton and wife Kailie, and granddaughter Jaycee; first wife Stacy Herber; stepson, Mark White and wife, Jennifer; stepdaughter, Kristian White and husband, Wes Courveler; brother, Todd Barton and wife, Melanie; nephews Jared and Jason Barton; stepbrother, Todd Atha; stepsister, Tammy Kelln; uncle, Jack Barton, and wife Tresa; aunt, Jean Bybee; and a host of cousins.
