Obituary

Connie Jeanne Cunningham, daughter of Ira and Eunice Lowe was born on June 17,1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed from this life on October 29, 2011 at the age of 69.
Connie spent her early childhood years moving amongst the brethren. She moved to Olympia, Washington at 6 weeks old, back to Indianapolis at the age of two and to Hobart, Oklahoma at the age four. Her family then moved back to Indianapolis when she was six to start school.
She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on Aug 3, 1958 by Brother Ray Hamner in Indianapolis. She graduated from South Port High School in Indianapolis in 1960. After graduating she went to work for Indiana Bell Telephone Company for 8 ½ years.
On December 28, 1968 she was united in marriage to Carl Cunningham. They took up residence in Sacramento, California for three and one half years. During this time two children were born unto this blessed union, Carla Jeanne and Troy Dean. In 1972 the family then moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. She endured the loss of her first-born son, Troy in January 1979. In the 13 years they lived in Grand Junction, three more children were added to the family, Monty Dwight, Robin Charlease, and Angel Dawn. In 1985 they moved to Adams, Oklahoma and remained there for six years before moving to Vici, Oklahoma in 1991.
She was blessed with a wonderful 35 years to her loving husband before God called him home in July 2004. Then in February 2005 she lost her first grandson Javan. In July 2006 she suffered another loss, her oldest daughter Carla. She then made her final move to Purcell, Oklahoma in September 2008 because of her failing health.
Connie had many special talents and hobbies. She loved entertaining and playing the piano for the brethren. She played for many singings, weddings, and funerals. She lived her life for the Lord being an example of faith. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for a house full, especially her homemade hot rolls. She was very talented and had a great passion for sewing and making quilts. She had a special place in her heart for her four grandchildren. She treasured each moment spent with her family.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Eunice Lowe, husband Carl, one son Troy Dean, one daughter Carla Bunch, and one grandson Javan Rodgers. She is survived by one sister, Karen Gore, of Texas, Son, Monty Cunningham, of Vici, Oklahoma, and fiancé Stephanie Keith of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Daughter, Robin Skinner and husband Brandon of Purcell, Oklahoma, Daughter, Angel Rodgers and husband Dennis of Enid, Oklahoma, Son-in-law, Chris Bunch and wife Sue of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Kayla and Tyler Skinner of Purcell, Oklahoma and Macy and Kitra Rodgers of Enid, Oklahoma, nieces, nephews and many special friends and loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will always be alive in our hearts.
