Dale Eugene Cook was born January 1, 1963 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Dale lived for a short time in 1985 in Sylvester, Georgia but lived most of his life at Buffalo or Gage, Oklahoma.
While living in Buffalo he worked at the Buffalo Feed Yard. After moving to Gage, Dale did farm work for 14 years. It was hard work but he found it very rewarding.
His favorite pastime was fishing. He always fished for the biggest one. His pride and joy hangs on his mother's living room wall. He saved the 7 lb bass in her freezer until he could get it mounted and give it to her for Christmas. Dale had many favorite fishing holes that he always kept secret. He was all the time grabbing his pole and taking off to one of those secret holes. He spent a lot of time walking around the Gage Beach throwing a line.
Dale enjoyed raising vegetables in his garden and generously shared them with all his family. He was a real animal lover as well and was always willing to take in a stray dog or cat and lovingly care for them. He enjoyed working with wood and had recently converted a room in his house into a craft room to do his tinkering in.
Dale had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them fishing, hitting the dirt roads together, or just hanging out. Dale treasured the time he spent with his family. He liked to pick and tease his nephews. It was not unusual for Dale to "stop in" unexpectedly just to give a hug or an "I love you".
Dale went to a better place on December 26, 2011 at the age of 48. He leaves behind his mother, Nancy Morley and stepfather, Richard of Gage, Oklahoma; grandmother, Wanda Bell of Gage, Oklahoma; sisters, JayLonna Cook of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Starla Clark of Gage, Oklahoma; brother, Bill Cook of Mutual, Oklahoma; four nephews, Jerad, Josh, Justin and Kayden Clark of Gage, Oklahoma; one niece, Carissa Cook of Gage, Oklahoma; two great nieces, Tobie Fisher and Teagan Clark of Gage, Oklahoma; other family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Marran; grandfather, Gene Bell; and father, Bill M. Cook.
