Danny Kaye Miller was born February 17, 1957, in Thomas, Oklahoma to Groff and Elva Irene (Downey) Miller of Taloga, Oklahoma. He passed from this life Saturday, October 24, 2009 in Taloga at the age of 52.

Danny attended grades 1-12 at Taloga Public Schools.

Danny was united in marriage to Sheila Lash October 27, 1976 in Pampa, Texas. One son, Matthew Landon Miller, was born to this union February 12, 1981.

On August 31, 2002, Danny was united in marriage to Beth Warner. One son, Jacob Lee Miller, was born to this union November 6, 2003.

Following high school, Danny was employed by Buck Primrose Oilfield Services as manager for 4 years. He was next employed by Delhi Gas Pipeline as a pipeline operator for one year. He then was employed by BP America for the next 28 years as an operations technician. He enjoyed working along side his childhood friends, Kenneth Morris and Jerry Cope. He took great pride in working with his son, Matt, for a short time before retiring in 2007.

Danny was a member of the Taloga Fire Department for 20 years. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends and making them all laugh. He was never without a smile and always had a joke to tell.

He took great pride in his registered cattle operation that he operated for 12 years. One of his greatest joys was working the cattle from horseback with his son, Matt, beside him.

For many years he enjoyed working the farm with his father-in-law, Charles Lash of Custer City.

When his son, Jacob came into his life—this was a new light in his eyes. Danny loved raising Jacob and always spent "quality" time with him no matter how sick he was. He looked forward to reading books to Jacob at bedtime each night.

On June 15, 2007, Danny was blessed with his first grandson, Charles Connor Miller. He greatly enjoyed watching the bond that formed between Jacob and Connor.

During his last days he stayed in his son, Matt's home and was cared for endlessly by his daughter-in-law, Aleesha.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Groff and Irene Miller, sister, Jewel Miller-Bowers, and brother-in-law Ted Rice. He is survived by sons, Matthew Miller and wife Aleesha of Taloga, Oklahoma and Jacob Miller of Taloga, Oklahoma; grandson, Connor Miller of Taloga, Oklahoma; brothers, Dutch Miller of Taloga, Oklahoma, Irvin Miller and wife Cindy of Taloga, Oklahoma, and Curtis Miller and wife Wynelda of Guymon, Oklahoma; sister, Norma Jean Miller Rice of Woodward, Oklahoma; nine nephews, five nieces, other family and many dear friends.
