IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Danyne Suzanne
(Haxton) Lungren
October 2, 1974 – July 3, 2025
Danyne Suzanne (Haxton) Lungren was born October 2, 1974 and adopted March 12, 1975 by Dan and Susan Haxton, who were anxiously waiting for her to complete their family.
As a young girl she made the decision to accept Jesus as her Savior and was baptized at the First Baptist Church at Leedey. She really enjoyed the Christmas programs so that she could sing.
It was amazing that as a young girl, she was able to sit at the piano and play something that she had only heard a few times. The most popular one was "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain." The autoharp was another instrument that fascinated her and her favorite one was "Red River Valley."
As she was growing up, it was obvious that she had an interest in animals and was very capable of taking care of them and would not give up until she had doctored them back to good health.
Danyne enjoyed riding her horse and participating in the play days and rodeos at the arena. There were always chores to do with the Angora goats, cattle, rabbits, parakeets and cockatiels.
During her high school years at Leedey High School, Danyne became interested in cars and drove a pink Volkswagon for her first car. During her senior year, she was able to attend the Vo-Tech at Burns Flat and learned about auto mechanics and detailing cars. As most young girls bedrooms were decorated with cute frilly girl things, hers had bridles, tools and jumper cables.
After graduation, she enjoyed working at the Chevrolet Garage in Woodward and completing detail jobs for customers.
She met Kelly Lungren and after they were married, they worked in the oilfield and later drove trucks cross-country.
Survivors are her parents, Dan and Susan Haxton and her brother Shawn Haxton, as well as many cousins.
