Darlene Marie (Harris) Hininger, daughter of Glenn and Violet (Dunham) Harris was born at the family home in Ellis County on January 10, 1931.  She passed from this life August 26, 2020 at the age of 89 years.   Darlene grew up on the farm south of Harmon, OK. and attended the Lone Star country school before completing her education in the Vici Public School system.  She was a member of the graduating class of 1950.  She was united in marriage to Frank Joe Hininger in 1951 in Arnett, OK.  They lived in Corpus Christi, TX. while Frank served in the U.S. Navy and two sons, Terry and Monte blessed their home.  They later lived in various locations in Oklahoma.

Darlene attended LPN school at Woodward, OK. and was employed at the Vici Nursing Home for a number of years. She married Harlan White on September 11, 1996 at Woodward, OK. and they enjoyed twelve years together.  They divided their time between their home east of Vici, OK. and a home in Harmon, OK.

Darlene was baptized and enjoyed the fellowship of attending the Vici Church of Christ where she was a member.  She looked forward to the Vici Alumni celebration each year and class reunions were special events.  She enjoyed music, spending time with family and friends and she loved to visit.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Violet Harris, the father of her children, Frank Hininger, her husband Harlan White, a brother, Curtis Harris, a sister, Bobby Merry Harmon, a daughter in law, Karen Hininger and other dear relatives.

Darlene is survived by her sons, Terry Hininger of Woodward, OK. and Monte Hininger and wife Pat of Williston, ND. Four sisters, Bonnie Whitson, Colene Pecha, Barbara Bailey and husband Jerry, and Shirley Prophet.  Her brother, Roger Harris and wife Lena, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, her step children, Gayla Williams, Holly Haines and Lain White, other relatives and friends.
