David L Lemery was the second of five children born to Larry and Janice Lemery.  Born August 8, 1952 in Downey, California.  The family lived in La Puente, California until 1959. 1960 through 1975 the family lived in several different communities in California.  Dave finished elementary, junior high and high school   in Van Nuys California.  Dave attended Loyola University in Los Angeles, California.  From 1975 through 1996 Dave became the proud father of four sons:  Larry, Michael, Kevin and David Ryan Lemery and 3 daughters:  Brenda Webster, Aimee Odom, and Rebecca Sowell.  Dave worked in the Christian ministry most of his adult life as church pastor or youth pastor and/or music ministries.  In 1991 Dave was ordained by Forest Heights Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida.  Dave was an accomplished musician.  He played the guitar, trumpet and other instruments.   Dave placed second in the Southern California Music competition playing the trumpet when he was in high school.  Dave wrote songs, performed and recorded his music.   On February 15, 2013, Dave was united in marriage to Jana V. Delano.  They made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Dave became the loving stepfather to Jana's 3 children Anastacia Cosme, Jamil Swyden and Alexander Swyden.  Dave passed away June  18th, 2023.  Dave was preceded in death by both parents and his sisters Cindy and Gale, and his nephew Jonathan.

He is survived by his wife Jana, his brother Michael and his sister Valarie, 7 children, 18 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
