David "Dave" Michael Kies, 56-year-old resident of Shattuck, OK, passed from this life on December 15, 2018 in Shattuck. Dave was born March 31, 1962 to William Harvey and Mary Ann (Starbuck) Kies in Shattuck. He grew up in Shattuck and attended Shattuck Public Schools graduating with the class of 1980. On August 20, 1993, Dave married Cindy Sweeden at the Lipscomb Courthouse.

Dave and Cindy lived in Shattuck where he owned and operated his own auto body shop. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #262. His hobbies included watching OU football, camping, boating, and UFO's.

Dave is preceded in death by his father William Harvey Kies, maternal grandparents Lloyd and Blossom Starbuck, and paternal grandparents Harvey and Bessie Kies.

He is survived by his wife of the home Cindy Kies; two sons Brock Kies and wife Shayla Dawn and Jeremy Range; mother Mary Spady; five brothers Terry Spady and wife Leslie of Laverne, OK, Kenneth Spady and wife Kim of Hinton, OK, Harvey Kies of Oklahoma City, OK, Don Kies and wife Lorna of Noble, OK, and Richard Spady and wife Ginger of Elk City, OK; one sister Patty Budig and husband David of Lewis, KS; granddaughter Jaceleigh Kayelynn Kies; grandson Kamden David Kies, many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
