David Walter Ratzloff (b. December 26, 1957 – d. August 2, 2017) was born in Jackson, Michigan to his parents Virgil and Rosemary Ratzloff. After moving around for a while, David and his family finally settled in Shatttuck, OK. It was here where David was raised and attended school, graduating in 1976. In July of 1979, David married Janelle Moser- his high school sweetheart. In August of 1982, this union was blessed with Stefanie, who David called the light of his life. He would have done anything for his daughter, and Stefanie knew this, saying she would always be his "daddy's girl."
In 1998, David and Janelle divorced though they remained good friends until the end, with David still calling Janelle his best friend. David had wanted grandkids for a long time, and in December of 2015 he finally got his wish with his first and only granddaughter, Sydnie.
David loved his girls and was fortunate enough to live next door to Stefanie and her family in Lexington, OK, which allowed him to spend nearly every day with Sydnie. Besides his girls, David loved to spend time in Colorado, his favorite place. While there he would spend a couple of months at a time visiting his brother Dan and his family.
David was preceded in death by parents Virgil and Rosemary Ratzloff of Shattuck.
David is survived by daughter Stefanie Brown and husband Charles and granddaughter Sydnie Brown of Lexington, OK. Brothers Tim Ratzloff and wife Kathy of Woodward, OK; and Dan Ratzloff and wife Martha of Lakewood, CO. Sisters Cindy Hunter and husband Jerry of Harmon, OK; Penny Keller and husband Robert of Arnett, OK; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
