IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dean
Cole
June 8, 1938 – December 16, 2025
Dean Cole age 87 passed away peacefully in his home on December 16, 2025. Dean was born on June 8, 1938 in Lenora, Oklahoma to his loving parents Mugs and Bertha Cole. He was one of six children. As a boy Dean enjoyed walking to his Grandparents home, where he was met with enthusiasm. He never lacked company as he was surrounded by his brothers, sisters, cousins, and many friends. He attended a one room school called Pleasant Ridge Elementary. It was just a short walk from his home. He later attended Vici High School. As a young man Dean traveled with his family custom harvest business. He worked long days following the harvest wherever it led. This built a strong work ethic, perseverance, and responsibility. These traits followed him throughout his life. Later in life, Dean received his CDL license and drove a truck to help support his family. He took great pride in this job. However, his favorite job title was that of farmer and rancher.
One day Dean met a beautiful young blonde named Linda Lou Taylor. She was from the neighboring town of Sharon, Oklahoma. It wasn't long before he won her heart. However, he did have to travel to Chickasha, Oklahoma where she attended college. He even enrolled in a trade school nearby to be close to her. Eventually the couple married on March 1, 1959. This led to a marriage that lasted 53 years until her passing on August 31, 2012. Dean and Linda bought and developed their own farm near Sharon where they raised their three children, Lorinda, Tammy, and Dusty. When Dean wasn't working he enjoyed fishing trips, quail hunting, checking his cattle and horses. He was a true outdoorsman.
Above all else he cherished his grandchildren Lake, Tanner, Peyton, Abby, Rowdy and Kaylin. He deeply loved them and spoke of them often. He was a proud papa and grandpa.
Dean's legacy lives on in the land he worked, the family he loved and the values passed down.
