Deanna Merle (Randall) McLain, 76-year-old resident of Woodward, OK, passed from this life on December 23, 2018 in Woodward. Deanna was born February 23, 1942 in Vici, OK to William Harvey and Nellie Irene (Smith) Randall. Despite being burned at the age of 16 months, she lived her life to the fullest and persevered through all obstacles. She grew up in Vici and attended Vici public schools graduating with the class of 1960. After graduation, she moved to Woodward and started her career at Trego's Western wear as a bookkeeper.

On November 6, 1965, Deanna married Preston Leland McLain at the Vici Church of the Firstborn. To this union, two sons were born Ronald Lee and Russell Lewis. She was a member of the Church of the Firstborn and was baptized on June 2nd 1968 by her father Harvey. When the Church of the Firstborn was organized in Woodward, she and Leland were faithful in supporting the needs of the Church.

To most, she was known as mom. Throughout the years, she opened her home to everyone in need, with food to eat and a bed to sleep on. She loved all, always had a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen. Never judging, she has counseled many.

Deanna was selfless, she took care of many, including her husband Leland. During his final years, she willingly put everything aside to care for her beloved husband.

She was also a quilt maker and enjoyed sewing, decorating cakes, camping and spending time with family and friends. Her love of sewing lead her to a new career after the Trego's factory closed in the 1990s. McLain's Stitchery started out with just quilts and grew to much more.

Deanna is preceded in death by her husband Leland McLain, parents Harvey and Irene Randall, grandson James Leland McLain, brother Cecil Randall and wife Connie, brothers and sisters-in-law Clyde Gregory, Garvin Morris, and Red Qualls, Willa and Bruce Gossett, Alwyn and Marjorie Camerer, Juanita and Ron Butler and Walter and Mary McLain.

She is survived by her two sons Ronald McLain and wife LaDena of Sharon, OK and Russell McLain and wife Melissa of Mooreland, OK; two sisters Inez Gregory and Virgie Morris of Vici, OK; brother Donnie Randall and wife Elra of Vici, OK; brother-in-law Keith McLain and wife Evelyn of Fairview, OK; three sisters-in-law Fern Qualls of Oklahoma City, OK and Barbara Cardiff of Vici, OK, and Ruth Fields and husband Allen of Loveland, TX; Five grandchildren, SabreAnna Klaus and wife Morgan of Woodward, OK, Mia and Lee McLain of Sharon, OK, Declan and Collen McLain of Mooreland, OK; three aunts, many nieces and nephews, lots of extra sons and daughters, extended family and a host of friends.
