Obituary

Dennis "Bud" Walter Schandorf, 68 year old resident of Camargo, Oklahoma, passed from this life on February 6, 2012 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Bud was born February 21, 1943 in Shattuck, Oklahoma.

Bud graduated from Midwest City High School with the Class of 1961. He was active in the Midwest City FFA and received numerous awards showing his Jersey cattle. Bud married Janice Mae Bennett on August 5, 1961 and they raised three children. Bud worked for the Santa Fe Railroad out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Arkansas City, Kansas where he was active in the United Transportation Union. He retired after 41 years of service, from the BNSF Railway Company. Bud accepted Jesus Christ in the First Christian Church of Midwest City. He attended the First Christian Church of Moore, Oklahoma where he served as a Deacon and youth group Sunday school teacher.

Bud was an avid biker and loved to ride his Harley Davidson. He belonged to the Northwest 69 Abate Chapter and American Legion Riders Post 18 Arkansas City, Kansas. Bud loved traveling the United States on his Harley. He also enjoyed hunting quail, pheasant, and deer. Special time with grandchildren, family and friends was also something he enjoyed.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Cleon and Jane Elizabeth Brace Schandorf, wife Janice Mae Bennett Schandorf, uncles and aunts, Alden John and Ovie Hughes Brace, Vernon and Alice Brace Jennings, Phil and Aldine Brace Cash and Ruth Brace Harbison.

Bud is survived by sons, Dennis Walter Schandorf Jr. of Camargo, Oklahoma and Darrell Schandorf and wife Tiffany of Arkansas City, Kansas; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Schandorf of Arkansas City, Kansas; brother, Roy John Schandorf and wife Yvonne of Dothan, Alabama; sister, Jennie Sue Schandorf Beach and husband Larry of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Khoury Dale and Hannah Jane of Arkansas City, Kansas; brother-in-law, Jimmy Bennett of Trinity, Texas; uncle and aunt, Jerry and Virginia Brace of Woodward, Oklahoma; uncle, George Harbison of Vici, Oklahoma; nephews and nieces, Chris Coffey, Michael Schandorf, Vince Bennett, Chris Bennett, Amy Beach Howard, Lorrey Schandorf Newman, Rhonda Bennett Buck, Lisa Bennett Brim; other family and a host of friends.

Bud was a very special individual, loved by all. He has been described as a "ray of sunshine" and a "best friend" by many. He will be dearly missed by all.
