Doris Lucille Adams, affectionately known as "Toots", passed peacefully from this life on June 16, 2009 at the age of 87. Doris, daughter of Clarence and Alice (Whitehead) Hunter, was born July 20, 1921 at the family home, east of Bloomfield, Oklahoma.
During her childhood and teen years the family continued to make their home in the Bloomfield and Webb area. Doris attended the Longcreek School through the eighth grade.
On December 12, 1938 Doris was united in marriage to Mr. Paul Adams at Woodward, Oklahoma. Their family quickly grew to include children, Dean, Gary, Alice, and Vickie. Doris and Paul eventually made their home in the Vici area.
Doris was a loving and doting mother who enjoyed taking care of her family. She liked to be in the kitchen cooking and was especially fond of baking.
