Dorothy Lorenne (Gonser) Groce passed from this life on May 10, 2022, at her home in Woodward, Oklahoma. Dorothy was born on November 30, 1953 in Placerville, California to father Clarence Daniel Gonser and mother Alma (White) Gonser. Dorothy and family would move from California to Woodward, and Dorothy would go on to graduate from Woodward High School. On December 15 ^th , 1977, Dorothy was united in marriage at the age of 24 to Gary Groce. To this union was born one son, Chad Evert Groce.

Dorothy worked as a diet technician at the Woodward hospital. A talented woman, Dorothy would make handmade porcelain dolls and sew their outfits.  Dorothy was also an assistant Girl Scout leader for many years. But Dorothy will be remembered most of all for being a loving mom and grandma.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alma Gonser; brother Wane Highfill; sister Joyce Miller; brother Jerry Highfill; and sister Ethyl May.

Dorothy is survived by her son Chad Groce; granddaughters Alexis Groce and Kaylee Groce; great-grandchildren Jason Underhill and Astrid Speck; brother Evert Gonser; many nieces, nephews, and a host of loved ones and friends.
