Dorothy Joan Price, long time resident of Leedey, Oklahoma passed from this life on September 9, 2007 at the age of 84. Joan was born to Charles William and Alice May (Buckley) Trigg in Much Hadham, England. Joan's childhood years were spent in Much Hadham and she attended school there.

In July, 1942 Joan entered the Royal Air Force in the W.A.A.F. branch. She served in the military until February, 1944 when she was honorably discharged with the rank of L.A.C.W. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Orvil Price, while he was serving in the U.S. military in England. Joan and Orvil were united in marriage on February 23, 1945 in Cambridge, England.

When Joan and Orvil returned to the United States they made their home in Leedey, Oklahoma. Their marriage was blessed with the birth of three children; Wayne, Michael, and Betty Lee. Joan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved them all and would do anything for them.

Joan worked outside the home as a waitress for a number of years. She was baptized at the young age of 16 and was a member of the Church of England.

Family preceding her in death are her parents, Charles and Alice Trigg and daughter, Betty Lee.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Orvil Price of the home; sons, Wayne Price of Leedey and Michael (Mickey) Price and wife Judy, of Checotah, OK; by grandsons, Max Price and wife Marsha and Darren Price and wife Kim, all of Woodward; by brothers, Peter Trigg and Bill Trigg; by sisters, June Fleshman and Irene Velt; by seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family, and many, many friends.
