Doug had another passion which was flying. Doug had a single and multi-engine fixed wing Pilot's License along with a Roto Craft rating. He loved all of his children and grandchildren. His biggest enjoyment with his children was the hunting season when everyone gathered at Doug and Doris's home to plan the day of hunting and give Momma Doris their ideas on what she could cook for lunch and supper. Doug loved fishing with the younger grandchildren. He loved everything about family and the outdoors.
